Karavan Handmade LLC is a proudly minority woman owned, family business.  We specialize in creating small batch, luxury soy container candles and premium bath and body goods.  We are excited to share our vision of a small, family run business that is committed to promoting well being, self care, cultural exchange, travel, beauty, and nature.  We hope to grow this baby business with a healthy respect for the environment and the goal of becoming a zero waste company.

Karavan was founded by someone who started life in a bi-cultural military family, and grew up hopping between two continents. My much loved Barbie View-master later contributed to the development of my never-ending wanderlust.  In the 1960's that lucky Barbie had already traveled to Paris, Bangkok, Hawaii, London, Bali, and the pyramids in Egypt!  Those little slides seemed so magical... I really wish I could find those reels again.

As I grew up, I enjoyed years of cooking and baking for my family, with some crafting thrown in now and then, especially after having an artsy-craftsy daughter. Now the children are grown and contributing their special talents to helping the business grow too. Our Karavan crew members are avid world travelers who value the personal growth, cultural competency, and friendship that comes from traveling far and wide. 

We also want to help people live a more mindful life full of simple pleasures, nature, family, and homemade goodness. I decided to combine my love of travel, and my joy in creating, with my concern for the environment to create Karavan Handmade LLC.  We want to provide goods that are as green and natural as possible, yet affordable luxuries that can help melt away the stress of our 21st century lifestyle.
